Several common crushing machine sand production process (1)

With the depletion of natural sand resources in recent years, artificial sand has emerged under the market demand and has been applied more and more widely. Although the artificial sand and stone material processing has several decades of history, but how to correctly select the production process to ensure the processing system reliable operation, advanced technology, economic and reasonable, it is still an important problem in the design of artificial sand processing system. This paper introduces 4 kinds of sand-making processes which are widely used at present.

1. Vertical impact crusher sand production process at present, most of the projects in China are using vertical impact crusher as the main sand production equipment, regardless of the shape of the crushing cavity, the production process is“Feeding-crushing-sieving-returning (or entering the Bin)”, the flow chart is as follows (the following examples are 2.5 mm, 5 mm and so on for illustration, the specific size of screening is based on actual production) : the sand made by vertical shaft impact crusher has the advantages of high production efficiency, good sand particle shape, low operation cost, and small amount of civil and installation works, and it can reshape middle and small stones and other advantages, but there are also the following problems:

1) the technological process is simple and the unit energy consumption is low;

2) the stone material of 2.5 ~ 2.5 mm is broken repeatedly, the crushing effect is poor and the energy consumption is slightly higher;

3) the grading of finished sand is not ideal, which is the discontinuous grading of“More at two ends, less in the middle”;

4) the grain size modulus of finished sand is difficult to control (controlled by artificial factors) ;

5) the percentage of finished sand is low; 6) for normal concrete, the stone powder content may exceed the standard.

2. Rod Mill Sand making process rod mill sand making is a traditional sand making process. Through the rotation of the Rod Mill, the steel rod in the rod mill rotates, falls and so on, to extrude, grind and impinge on the manufactured sandstone which enters the rod mill to obtain the sand material, it has the following characteristics:

1) the modulus of fineness of sand is easy to be adjusted and can be controlled artificially (FM = 2.4-3.0 can be achieved in actual production to adjust the production) ;

2) good sand grading, particle size distribution is stable;

3) low production efficiency;

4) high operating cost, large amount of civil and installation works.
